Catalonia | You’re My Miro

Something for the Miró fans! I spent a long and pleasurable day in Barcelona’s Fundació Joan Miró, a gallery set up by and for Joan Miró’s work. His Abstract Expressionism contemporary art and bright colours infuse my soul and the raw Brut style of his hand permits my own to create with the same rebellious abandon. This piece is wild and is very much an expression of play and seeing what happens when you take a chance. I love the scrapes and scratches of this one, as well as the red and yellow of Catalonia. 

Please note that ‘You’re My Miró’ is an original layered and textured painting whose appeal is enhanced by deep grooves scraped into the thick watercolour paper. For this reason, I can never and will never print it for sale to other collectors, and the price reflects this value.
